Your Self Image is everything - it's link with Human Design
Are you really sure you are who you think you are? When I embodied all of me, through the help of Human Design & reframed self image, I became the most 'me' I've ever felt...
Something I’ve come to realise over the last 12 months is how much I’ve become more of the person I’d always imagined myself to be; bold, unapologetic, confident and driven. As well as someone who dresses, behaves and acts in a way that reflects that.
You see, the past version of me was a shell of who I am now; I let people walk all over me, I had no idea what my ‘purpose’ was and if you asked me what I liked, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you. My life was driven by those around me and it took a big reset to shift things.
You’ll never catch me doing those things now.
I have the strongest sense of self I’ve ever had. I know who I am & why I’m special. I know what I like & what I don’t like. I know what I will and won’t accept in my life. I have solid boundaries and an unf*ckable with energy to me. I am reaching my goals and watching my vision boards play out in front of me.
This newfound self-assuredness has also left its mark on how I present my brand within my business (but we'll dive deeper into that in upcoming Substacks).
But how did I achieve this transformation?
I changed the way I saw myself.
I removed behaviours that didn't match up to the goals I have.
I dedicated time to envisioning and embodying the person who possesses the things I desire.
I transformed my self-image.
The perception I had in my mind of who I was.
And one of the most significant factors that contributed to this journey was leveraging my understanding of Human Design.
Let me elaborate.
First and foremost, what is Self Image?
Self-image is the mental and emotional perception, beliefs, and feelings that you hold about yourself and your overall identity. So if you believe or perceive that you are a “scatty” person for example, you will continue to perpetuate the notion that you are scatty. Your thoughts, feelings, opinions & behaviours will reflect that perception. The good thing about bringing awareness to the concept of self-image is that you can change it. It can evolve over time based on mindset work, internal reflection, personal growth, and evidential experiences,. A healthy and positive self-image is crucial for overall well-being & business success.
So, what is Human Design?
Human Design is a system that allows us to understand ourselves on a deeper level. It is a synthesis of ancient & modern sciences (Astrology, Quantum Physics, Epigenetics, Kabbalah, and the I-Ching). The way we view ourselves and how our minds & personalities develop are based on our lived experiences. The way we’re conditioned forms our behaviours and tells us how we’re to respond to the world around us. If we know that the goal of life is to step away from the conditioned behavioural patterns or perceptions and remember who we truly are, freeing ourselves from the chains of society, our often inaccurate thoughts and our conditioning, then Human Design shows us how to do this. Human Design is your guide & roadmap to living as your true self.
So, where's the connection?
Both these concepts fundamentally revolve around how you view yourself:
Understanding your self-perception and identity.
Embracing self-acceptance and authenticity.
Creating positive behavioural shifts.
Empowerment
Using the “scatty” example above, imagine this: You used to think of yourself as someone who's scatterbrained, but then you discover that, in Human Design, you are a Manifesting Generator. This new understanding reveals that you thrive by moving quickly when navigating the world, pursuing your passions, and embracing what truly excites you. This shift in perspective is huge, completely transforming how you see yourself. It opens the door to a fresh understanding of who you are and how you can achieve success. Armed with this newfound insight, you can strategically implement tactics and strategies to overcome the challenges you once faced. You have begun shifting your self image.
Knowing & experimenting with my Human Design, amongst many other tools I have in my toolkit, allowed me to cultivate a more positive and empowering self-image. This in turn has allowed me to step more confidently into my perception of a powerhouse business owner and brand that has a deep impact on my audience and clients. I shift perspectives, empower others & deepen awareness all whilst working on the strategics of building & marketing brands & businesses.
Know that your inner world shapes your outer reality. Your self-image is the bridge that allows you to embody the future version of yourself, the one that lives on your vision boards and in your imagination. (This is the art of strategic manifestation.)
Why is it important?
If you don’t see yourself as the person who embodies the behaviours, actions, mentality & style that you know you can deep down, you will keep cycling through the patterns you have learnt you believe you are, that keep you stagnant. The beauty of awareness lies in its potential to drive change. I transformed my reality, and so can you. You can overcome limiting beliefs that keep you in the cycle you’re in. You can practice & embody new ways of being until they become your new reality. You can become the person who achieves your desires.
Key takeaways:
Your self-image is the key to unlocking a better life.
By gaining clarity, shedding unhelpful behavioural patterns, and reframing your self-perception, you can craft a new reality that aligns with who you are on the inside.
To transform your life and business, you must first transform how you perceive yourself.
Human Design is just one of the tools at your disposal for this transformative journey.
I really enjoyed writing about this connection between self image and Human Design - it’s something I’ve been unconsciously talking about for a long time now. If you know me and my work, it’s my mission to help you see yourself so you can be seen by others. And if you didn’t, now you do.
Know that you can change anything in your life. You can change the ways you see yourself and your behaviours can match up to this new image you have. I’m currently working on seeing myself as someone who isn’t afraid to be filmed on camera. I have big PR goals for the next 12 months and so working on this now, shifting my identity and pushing myself out of my comfort zone in ways that will help me reach those goals, is what’s driving me to make them happen. We’re in this together.
Until next time.
Lots of love,
Anna xo
